SBI PO Exam Pattern
Selection of Probationary Officers done through in three-tier.
Phase-I: Preliminary Examination
Preliminary Examination exist of Objective Test for 100 marks conducted on online.

Main Examination Selection criteria :
Category wise merit list prepared. Firstly, based on the cumulative marks scored in the Preliminary Examination. There no sectional cut-off in merit list. The candidates shortlisted to each category in numbering 10 times (approx.) for Main Examination. Top candidates from the above merit list.
Phase-II: Main Examination:
Main Examination conducted online. Duly, consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks, and Descriptive Test for 50marks. The Descriptive Test administered shortly after conclusion of the Objective Test. Instantly, candidates have to type their Descriptive Test answers on the computer.
(i) Objective Test: Duration of objective test 3 hours. With 4 Sections of total 200 marks. Separate timing given for every section.

(ii) Descriptive Test: 30 min Duration of Descriptive Test will be given . Total for 50 marks. It is a Test of Letter Writing & Essay in English Language with two questions.
Phase-III: In the site of the Social Distancing and safety measures. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the 3rdPhase may comprise
(i) Interview only (50 marks) OR
(ii) Interview(30marks) & Group Exercises (20 marks).
- Candidates should score minimum qualifying marks in Phase-III. Then, only considered for final selection.
- Candidates qualifying for Phase-III under ‘OBC’ category. Need to submit OBC certificate. With containing the ‘Non-Creamy layer’ clause.
- Candidates who registered as OBC but do not able to submit OBC ‘Non-Creamy layer’ certificate. Those requests to interview under the General category. Not allowed.
