SCI calls to fill the vacancies for the post of Engine Room Petty Officer and Trainee Engine Room Petty Officer in different vessels on contract basis. Candidates who have experience of work and sailed on ship for six months or more will be given preference. Candidate must have a certificate from National Council of Training in Vocational Trade (NCTVT), ITI for SCI ERPO.
Engine Room Petty Officer Selection Procedure:
On the date of walk-in interview all applicants must reach the address mentioned in Official notification.
Selection will be done as per requirement for Petty Officers.
Verification will be done and candidates will be selected for the interview whose names will be mentioned in the SCI Official website
Medically fit candidates will be selected for Trainee ERPO and will be posted on contract basis.
Selected candidate names will be posted on official web site of Shipping Corporation of India Ltd.
Eligibility:
Candidates with following criteria are eligible for ERPO.
Age:
Age limit is 30 years with medical fitness.
Age limit for SC/ST is 35 years.
Educational Qualification:
Candidate must have completed his diploma in Mechanical Engineering from National Council of Training in Vocational Trade or by Industrial Training Institute of State Government (ITI).
A candidate with two years of Trade Apprentice certificate from government approved shipyard as fitter/motor mechanic.
Proficiency:
Candidate should be proficient in the following
- Welding and gas cutting
- Fabrication and proficiency in fitting
- Lathe, drill and other machine operation.
- Ship related maintenance work.
- Candidate who has sailed on ships for 6 months or more will be given preference.
